Harry and Meghan's life in royal spotlight

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN MARKLE'S PUBLIC APPEARANCES
2017
AUGUST
After Harry and Meghan celebrated her 36th birthday in Botswana, the rumour mill was buzzing the pair were engaged.
SEPTEMBER
Attending the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games in Toronto, Canada, the couple kept up with royal protocol and were seated about 18 chairs apart.
NOVEMBER
Harry and Meghan appeared before the press at the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, one of Princess Diana's favourite spots. It was their first public appearance since the announcement of their engagement. Harry told reporters he knew Meghan was "the one" from "the very first time we met."
DECEMBER
Harry officially introduced his bride-to-be in Nottingham, a UK city close to his heart - where hundreds of well-wishers gathered to catch a glimpse of the happy couple who were making an appearance at a World Aids Day event.
Meghan made her first public appearance with the Queen when she joined the British royal family for mass on Christmas Day. Her fiance and other senior members of the royal family were also in attendance.
2018
JANUARY
Fresh from celebrating the new year in Monaco, Harry and Meghan made their first official public appearance of the year together visiting youth radio station Reprezent Radio in Brixton, South London.
MARCH
To mark International Women's Day the couple were in Birmingham visiting Millennium Point. The event was aimed at encouraging young women to study stem subjects like science and maths.
APRIL
After the Queen appointed Harry as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador, he was joined by Meghan at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in London. Meghan said she was "hugely excited" to accompany her fiance in his duties.
Former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull met with the royal couple in London where he presented them with special jackets ahead of the Invictus Games. Mr Turnbull praised Harry for his role in creating the special sporting event and promised a "rapturous" welcome in Sydney.
MAY
Prince Harry and Meghan married at St George's Chapel, Windsor in front of 600 guests
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first post-wedding appearance at a garden party at Buckingham Palace to honour Charles' 70th birthday and his charity work.
JUNE
Harry and Meghan passed another royal milestone marking the Queen's official birthday on Buckingham Palace's balcony. The pair took their places among four generations of the royal family after the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
JULY
Continuing his duties as Youth Ambassador, Harry attended Your Commonwealth Youth Challenge reception at Marlborough House in London. He was accompanied by Meghan who emanated warmth in a bright yellow dress.
Tourists and students flocked to the Irish capital's Trinity College in Dublin, where the royal duo made their first official overseas trip as a married couple.
AUGUST
The Prince and his wife attended a performance of the hit musical Hamilton in central London. The event raised money for a charity helping children affected by HIV in southern Africa.
SEPTEMBER
Paying a visit to the Wellchild Awards, Meghan and Harry took time to speak with some of the children with serious illnesses who were nominated for their achievements.
OCTOBER
The couple embarked on their first trip to Sussex since they were made Duke and Duchess of the southern English county. The visit included a viewing of a copy of the US Declaration of Independence from the British crown.
